Linode is a VPS provider based in Galloway, NJ. They have been providing world-renowned Cloud hosting services for over a decade (Linode was founded in June 2003).
Linode have six geographically diverse data centers (Asia, Europe and US):
London, United Kingdom
Atlanta (GA), United States
Dallas (TX), United States
Fremont (CA), United States
Newark (NJ), United States
Pricing is one of the factors that can put a lot of people off using Linode, Linode is more expensive than that of other cloud hosting providers, such as DigitalOcean.
More recently, Linode has adopted metered billing; allowing you to pay for the use of computing resources on an hourly basis (capped), which of course is useful to those who like starting up an instance for a few hours/days to test something.
Personally, for me; the price is worth every penny. And I'll explain/show you why below.
